Autumn just refuses to stay Autumn around here. I got dressed when the weather was a nice cool 62ºF and by the time I hit the door to run my day's errands the temperature felt more like early August. Still, I decided not to change clothes since I was pressed for time and because I really wanted to wear these shoes. I've had them for nearly five years now, I've never worn them, and I'm convinced that I have nothing else to wear with them . I feel my logic to be quite rational.
However, I had to wear some type of heel today because I believe I've become afflicted with a condition called Policeman's heel, self-diagnosed via the web of course. I had a sudden pain in the heel of my left foot that hasn't really dulled since it came on about two days ago. Getting weight off the heel of my foot would help ease the pain, so naturally I thought a good pair of not too high, adorable, never before worn Seychelles pumps would do the trick. The pumps shifted the weight from my heel to the ball of my foot; that plus an ibuprofen and the pain subsided quite a bit. I'll be giving my tootsies a rest for the next few days and keeping off my feet as much as I can.
